It's Christmas Eve!

Yipee! Another Yuletide season has come, and still I remember those childhood days of mine when Christmas was so special. Well, Christmas is always one of my two most favorite holidays. The other is New Year. Christmas is of course, a day of celebrating Jesus Christ's birth as well as sharing what you have to other people.

Oh yeah, IT"S MY LATEST POST since last time. That was several months ago. I think my indolence keeps me from doing things which are ought to be done here - to give even the slightest hint of justice I could ever give to this fly-infested blog.

Anyway, my family was done singing using our new MIDI karaoke. It has a wide selection of songs that is tantamount to those videoke machines with coin slots on them. I say bravo, having a sort of music to enliven up our house. And we also have our visitors - Kuya Bryan, Hogan, Tito Benny, and Tito Boy. We also have my cousins Joan and Warren plus Tita Carmen, to make our house even MORE Christmas-y.

Wow. Right now I hear the sound of fireworks. I think fireworks are another factor of bringing joy to Christmas. Oh, I remember my childhood days when the best Christmas parties were held every 24th December along our street. That alone completed my every Christmas before. I guess what I missed today is the taste of alcohol. I love being drunk. I think my confidence is at its full boost whenever I take shots of alcoholic beverages. Being inebriated, for me, is cool.

I hate being sick today. Somehow, I often have sickness whenever it's December 24th. Right now, I have my fever, coupled with tonsillitis, mild coughs, and runny nose. I think I've already taken my enough dosage of water therapy to further make my condition well. I also took Biogesic for my fever. I also ate papayas for my tonsillitis. But still, nothing's happened.

Oh, it's 12:08 here in my PC clock. MERRY CHRISTMAS WORLD! Will decide whether to go and eat for noche buena or not.

Miss Universe 2010

Yahoo! TV has just reported what happened in today's Miss Universe pageant. Our very own Maria Venus Raj did not win, yet she made it to the Top 5, and was the Miss Universe 2010 4th Runner-Up titlist. Here's the news:

"A 22-year-old Mexico woman won the Miss Universe pageant Monday night after donning a flowing red gown and telling an audience it's important to teach kids family values.

Jimena Navarrete of Guadalajara was first to answer an interview question Monday night and the last of 83 contestants standing in the headline-grabbing pageant on the Las Vegas Strip.

Her one-strap dress flowed behind her like a sheet as she walked during the evening gown competition. Earlier, she smiled in a violet bikini as she confidently strutted across the stage.

Asked by Olympic gold-medal figure skater Evan Lysacek how she felt about unsupervised Internet use, Navarrete said the Internet is important but parents need to be careful and watch over their kids.

"I do believe that Internet is an indispensable, necessary tool for the present time," she said through an interpreter. "We must be sure to teach them the values that we learned as a family."

First runner-up was Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps, while second runner-up was Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell.

Navarrete — who's been modeling since she was 15 — is Mexico's second Miss Universe. Lupita Jones of Mexico won the title in 1991. Navarrete replaces Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez of Venezuela.

Navarrete's win thwarted Miss Venezuela Marelisa Gibson from giving the South American country a third consecutive victory. Neither Gibson nor Miss USA Rima Fakih made the top 15 finalists.

Navarrete was immediately congratulated on Twitter by Mexican President Felipe Calderon and his wife, Margarita Zavala.

"Congratulations to Jimena Navarrete for her deserved victory as Miss Universe," Calderon said. "This will serve Mexico, (and) our image as a country."

With fans in some 190 countries watching on television and keeping tabs on social networks, Navarrete and her competitors introduced themselves while wearing over-the-top national costumes. They then danced in silver and black dresses for the show's opening number before the top 15 finalists were announced. The final 15 walked in swimsuits while Cirque du Soleil musicians played Elvis Presley songs including "Viva Las Vegas." The last 10 impressed in their gowns while John Legend and the Roots played a soulful medley including "Save Room."

By the end of the show, seven of the top 10 trending topics on Twitter had to do with the pageant, its contestants, its judges or owner Donald Trump. The mogul co-owns the pageant with TV network NBC.

The show was without any major gaffes, except for Miss Philippines' answer when asked what her biggest mistake in life was and how she fixed it.

"In my 22 years of existence, I can say there is nothing major," Venus Raj said.

Before the pageant, Raj was rated among the top contestants in an online poll on the pageant's website. She finished in fifth place.

Navarrete won a package of prizes including an undisclosed salary, a luxury New York apartment with living expenses, a one-year scholarship to the New York Film Academy with housing after her reign, plus jewelry, clothes and shoes fit for a beauty champion.

Campbell won the Miss Congeniality Universe award. Miss Thailand Fonthip Watcharatrakul won Miss Photogenic Universe and a second award for having the best national costume.

Fakih, a 24-year-old Lebanese immigrant from Dearborn, Mich., spurred celebrations among Arab-Americans when she won Miss USA. Pageant records aren't detailed enough to show whether Fakih is the first Arab-American, Muslim or immigrant to win Miss USA.

Miss USA has not been named Miss Universe since Brook Lee won the title in 1997."

The final five Miss Universe 2010 contestants are:
• 22-year-old Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete (Miss Universe 2010)
• 24-year-old Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps (1st Runner-up)
• 19-year-old Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell (2nd Runner-up)
• 23-year-old Miss Ukraine Anna Poslavska (3rd Runner-up)
• 22-year-old Miss Philippines Venus Raj (4th Runner-up)

Congratulations, Miss Universe 2010 Jimena Navarrete!

Rise and Fall

Yesterday, for me, was an average day.

On my Facebook status, I have called it, 'my temporary RISE and gradual FALL.' Rise, because I got the highest scores in our subjects Compiler Design under Prof. Gaucho (51/60) and Rizal under Prof. Distor (94/100 or 97%). These, indeed, are to be grateful for. I know I wouldn't do these things without Him. I didn't even expect to be highest in Compiler Design, 'cause our professor there always presents complex, challenging questions/problems to his students. But honestly, in the case of Rizal, I kinda anticipated it.

When the other half of my classes that day commenced, I wasn't very happy. I got the exact passing mark of 36 out of 60 items in our midterm exam. I accepted it, with a forceful grin. Anyhow, I always said to my mind, 'be contented.'

What made me shocked was seeing my grade in Compiler Design - Laboratory. 3.25. A grade similar to 5.0. I perspired! I haven't received this kind of grade ever in Midterm! Even in my hatest subject under the best Math prof, Ma'am Quintana, I haven't received that grade (I got a 3.0 then)! So why? Did I become so negligent of doing necessary stuff? Were my efforts insufficient despite my constant, palpable industry? I wanted to cry, but no single liquid exited my tearducts. I told myself, 'If this happened to me in highschool, I would have wept so loudly and wouldn't be valorous enough to face my classmates!'

Silly it may be, but my professor gave us a chance to keep up with our grades. He asked us to pass documentations next meeting regarding our previous machine problems.

WHEW! Hope my temporary rise will be no longer temporary. :)

NEVER SAY NEVER

An avid listener of Justin Bieber's songs, I was very glad to hear him singing an inspirational song featuring Jaden Smith, Will Smith's son, in the film "Karate Kid" entitled, "Never Say Never." This song is really suitable on my current situation as a student. You see, I am now bombarded with lots of school problems. I have this thesis that I don't really have any idea where to start with. And now, another problem was just told to me by my classmates -- that the GUI application we programmed wasn't right! Actually, this application must be done right for us to have our midterm exam in CS 431L! THIS IS REALLY AWFUL. I wanna quit..

A swift rewind back to my high school days, I wasn't even at the edge of quitting that time. If I have these problems now in college where my grades are at stake for possible failure or dropout, in high school, I didn't have similar problems. You know what? My problems before were not really problems. While others want to get what I attain, I was then in the midst of discontentment. I was a consistent Top 1 in a cream section in high school, so merely being Top 2 (or 4, the worst I got) baffled me so much that I couldn't even eat or even face my family, friends and classmates!

Moving back to my recent condition now, these problems are lame. I learned that we need to be contented with everything we have. Whenever I think of my problems now, it's like I'm weakening. But then I want to be strong somehow. That's why I occasionally listen to the aforementioned song on my MP3 to at least comfort me. And with God by my side, I know I can do even the impossible.. :')

My Life's Part 2

Life inevitably changes. Today is August 8, 2010. I say b-bye now to my teenage years (though I still am a teen-at-heart) and hello to the PART 2 of my life. What will happen in this new decade for me is my graduation, job seeking, restless hours of work and possibly, love life.

I'm now 20 years old. That's two years ahead the legal age, but this day seems to bring nostalgic memories. I reminisce my childhood and all my happy pasts. But one thing's for sure - I better keep things tidy in preparation for my future.

I know that my experiences have already proven how strong I am, facing all those challenges that constantly stirred my path, with my brain in severe diffusion of problems. But I stood up! Those stuff which I thought were impossible to escape from were conquered by me. If I were to sum up all my problems from the very beginning, a gigantic golem of the size of the entire Philippines would surely be their size! Well that is only metaphorically speaking.

As for my birthday wishes, God already knows them. I have tons but He knows what my priorities are. Of course, I wouldn't achieve these wishes if I also don't work for it, so I'll work with Him. And I know that He will always guide me.

HAPPY TWENTEENTH BIRTHDAY TO ME!

XB GenSan Wins SHOWTIME Season 1

The long wait is over! SHOWTIME fans (including me) have witnessed the first ever grand winner of SHOWTIME, XB GenSan (Xtreme Boyz GenSan). XB GenSan is, apparently, from General Santos City, Philippines. They are the only Mindanao finalists to enter in SHOWTIME: The Finals, which was held in the Ynares Center, Antipolo City, Rizal. Though they are only Wildcards, they eventually beat the other 10 finalists. They still won PHP 1 Million, which I think is too small a prize, yet the amount is still incomparable to the performance they gave with all their "heart." Vice Ganda even commented that their astounding performance was enough not only to cause headache, but also to cause chest pain due to his/her judging difficulties.

The crowd favorite, Philippine Islands Assassin, was initially presumed to win the contest. However, the audience cheered increasingly as the preceding contestants showcased their talents, enough to impress the judges as well as to give high scores. XB GenSan was the show's finale. Their performance made them emotional after, consequently affecting Anne Curtis, one of the main hosts, to cry with them.

A total of 40 judges, including the unevictable and resident judge Vice Ganda, scored the 11 finalists.

Among them were unevicted hurado Jhong Hilario and "burado" judges like Gladys Reyes, Andrew E, Assunta De Rossi, Jon Avila, Jet Pangan of The Dawn, Dennis Padilla, Robert Seña, Kean Cipriano of Calla Lily, Marc Abaya of Kjwan, Bianca Manalo,
Alessandra De Rossi, Precious Lara Quigaman, Priscilla Meirelles, Karla Henry, Ayannah of Kitty Girls, Joy Viado, Jay Justiani of Cueshe and a lot more.

Special jurors such as Manny Castañeda, Alfie Lorenzo, "Angge" Lee and Jobert Sucaldito, who were judges during the Showtime Kids Edition, were also part of the judges lineup.

The final results:

1st - Group 11. XB GenSan (General Santos City) [wildcard] 9.875
2nd - Group 7. Philippine Islands Assassin (Marikina City) 9.7
3rd - Group 10. Boyz Unlimited (Pangasinan) [wildcard] 9.625
4th - Group 8. Enlighten Black Theatre Group (San Juan, Metro Manila) 9.425
5th - Group 3. Mortal Combat and the Showgays (Brgy. Holy Spirit, Quezon City) 9.3
6th - Group 6. Savannah Kids Ballroom Dancers (Antipolo City) 8.775
7th - Group 2. Perlas ng Silangan (Olongapo City) 8.575
8th - Group 9. E-Crew (Paete, Laguna) 8.575
9th - Group 5. Sensei (Roxas City, Capiz) 8.1
10th - Group 1. Kasibulan (Muntinlupa City) 7.375
11th - Group 4. Beat Guys (Fairview, Quezon City) 7.325

CONGRATULATIONS, XB GenSan!

SHOWTIME Season 2 will commence on Monday, July 26, 2010.

So Much Confusion

Hey blog! After the death of my granny, my aunt's here again, hopefully she's here for the better and not for the worse. Anyway, so much confusion for today.

While I was reviewing my lessons for my imminent quiz in Japanese 1, my mind sank into a deep realization. It was about my course. My Bachelor of Science in Computer Science course. Why? I think I'm almost quitting. I don't think this course suits me. Several realizations pinched me within. I was struck by lightning.

I came up with these courses in mind:

Nursing. If ever I ended up being a nursing student, I guess I wouldn't find it really hard, save for memorization, but I could work on that. I love science. Since high school, I did quite well in science. Be it General Science, Biology, Chemistry, or even Physics, I got an A+ in all of those subjects. Aww, nursing's a loss. I wanted to be a doctor ever since I was young.

Engineering. If I were an engineering student by now, I guess it wouldn't be that hard since I'm already familiar with Math subjects. High school, again, became a proof that Mathematics is not really a thing to be feared of for me. Since I'm not really familiar with ComSci's vast programming languages and disciplines from the very beginning, I believe engineering's math would be much easier to learn.

Education. If I pursued Education, I think it would be way too easy for me because in elementary, I was always an honor student. In addition, my high school didn't seem to be very tough for me -- as I was a consistent Top 1 of our class from 1st to 4th year. English, Mathematics, Science, General Information (a.k.a. Araling Panlipunan), Physical Education, Computer Education, Technology and Livelihood Education, Values Education, etc. wouldn't be so difficult.

My mind's literally suffocated by depression. I have a roster of more courses, yet I'm not posting all. Well good luck to me...

Nakaka-SHOCK!

It's normal na magkaroon ka ng crush. Ako nga e, needless to say to everyone around me (including my friends), hindi mabibilang sa daliri ang dami ng crush ko! Hahaha, and not all of my friends know that!

And madalas niya raw ako makita sa university library! I don't know if she was joking anyway, but I hope she was.

Somehow I wanna groom myself. Conscious na 'ata dapat ako.

Pero ayaw ko ng stalkers.

HAPPY AFTER UHM, 22 HOURS???

The whole neighborhood cheered a while back when the electricity had been brought out again after 22 hours! WHEW! No more tears!

Actually, we had our classes today but it was suspended at least by 9 AM. Because I thought it was too early to go home, I decided to either go to TriNoMa, or SM North EDSA, or SM Fairview... I opted to go to the latter. However, while I was in the bus to pay for the ticket, I told the conductor that my destination would be Pecson. Fortunately, I was just in time to arrive in our house 'cause Mama, Kenrick and Kem were about to go to SM. So I changed clothes swiftly, from uniform to civilian, and after a few clock tickings we went off.

That was the dullest SM I have ever seen in my entire life! Why? Because approximately half of the lights were turned off, most airconditioners weren't open, an array of shops had their lights either dim or totally off... Super dull - and lonely - or DULL! Anyway, we continued our shopping and eating galore nonetheless. Fun, fun, fun! ;)

Going Around the Metro

Today's very exhausting. Actually while I am typing this on my cellphone, I honestly want a masseur to do the massage all over my body. I had two 'firsts' this day.

It's the first time that I was told a certain direction in a handmade map where I was subjected to find a location ALL BY MYSELF! I believe there are people who easily get to familiarize themselves with directions, but I'm the exact opposite! So here's the story. Upon Ate Gaycel's arrival at the office, I greeted her a good morning. After that, she asked me to go to "The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf" where my superior was currently staying. Mind you, it was my OJT boss in Philamlife, Sir Wilbert, who asked me to do this, the very reason why I just agreed without hesitations. He wanted me to go to San Juan, Metro Manila to retrieve the sandals he left in a house there. I repeat, SANDALS! So I rode the LRT, asked almost every guard.. and the rest is history. Thank God I was safe and sound.

Mid-Level Happiness

We had our Japanese 1 class under Sir Tipay. He told us we were having a quiz. I did a slight review on the previous topics which were discussed last week, focusing myself on Hiragana. Luckily, I was surprised to hear that the quiz was just all about English-Japanese word translations, which were given to us last week. I just remembered some without reviewing, and luckily, I got a perfect score!

Next, we (Jean, Glenn, and I) went to St. Joseph for their (Jean and Glenn) printing of thesis proposal. After that, we went back to school for them to let Sir Paul sign the said proposal. Off we went to Berkeley in Tandang Sora because Glenn needed a couple of 1X1 pictures as one of the requirements of the Application for Graduation. Before going directly to Berkeley, we accompanied Glenn at the cellphone loading station. Then I accompanied them to a Xerox/ring-binding service nearby, because I brought with me photocopies of our Automata manual and they were in need of it. We left all the photocopy and ring-bind thingies there. We also headed to Boardwalk.

Finally, it was Berkeley. Because there are so many things to elaborate, I'll make it brief:
  • We went to Tronix for Glenn's picture taking,
  • ate at McDonald's only to buy two Coke floats (mine and Jean's, because we already had our pack lunch), while Glenn bought a Coke float and a one-piece chicken meal;
  • returned to Xerox/binding service to claim the ring-bound photocopies;
  • went back to school for our 2PM class in Automata.

After being back, I guided Gracious to get a receipt of Evaluation of Grades for her Application for Graduation. After that, we went to our Automata class but Sir Vinluan wasn't there yet. That was why we had ample time to review for our quiz. When he arrived, however, he told us that we stay in the CET Library first as he was looking for our room which could possibly occupy us more than our officially designated room at SHOP 2. Since there was no stated time for our quiz, he just told us to wait at Room 319. And because this day was our final day in approving of proposals, Glenn and Jean went back to NELD 1 to get the former's laptop (prior to that, Gracious did the same before Sir Vinluan's announcement of our room).

Sir Vinluan arrived at 5:00, telling us that we would have our two-hour quiz! Yet Jean and Glenn didn't have idea of this! So I texted them (via mjoy.com), while Kimberly did the same as well. But still, we were almost finished answering when they arrived! Luckily, our professor ordered them to leave the room and take the exam on his next 6PM class. WHEW, that was close!!! By the way, I thought that the exam would be way too easy for me but it wasn't! I literally almost consumed much of my energy in answering the problems!!!

Finishing the exam meant going to let Sir V and Ma'am Audrey sign our proposal. Yikes! We even left the draft of our proposal in the faculty! Very fortunate enough, we were able to let them sign. Nevertheless, Gracious and I weren't that glad. We weren't sure what we should do next and where we should start next! But still, THANK GOD!

Though our proposal had been approved, several others' hadn't. We pitied them, but we got nothing to do. Lots of ComSci students were outside the Faculty Room, yet also lots of proposals were rejected.

After a lot of chitchat with some of them, Gracious and I left. We bought
Pop Cola in St. Joseph, and as we parted ways, I went to Rejan's house, only to find out that he was busy making another proposal for the sake of approval on this day. He borrowed my flash disk, used it to print, and handed it back to me. We separated ways.

I went home.

While I was in the bus, I felt a series of vibrations on my phone. Taking a look at it, I was surprised to see two missed calls of Jomen. But why Jomen, I asked myself. Then Kim texted me, telling me that our proposal would never be signed without our signatures. DAAAANG! I remembered we left the draft of our proposal inside the Faculty Room! After a few minutes, Glenn called me, telling me of our BIIIIIIGGGG PROBLEM. I explained thoroughly my part in the issue, before I became relieved. For the first time ever, that explanation drew me to speaking in a public vehicle with my voice too loud and could be heard by anyone my proximity!

At home, I chatted with Rejan at past 11PM thru Facebook. I asked him if his proposal was approved and he told me yes. Sadly, he told me something of a bad news. TOTALLY BAD. Not going to post here anyway, there is time for such a revelation -- well if that was true, but I hope not! *crosses fingers*

SO HELP ME GOD! Err, US!

A Tough, Gloomy Day

Today, all I can say is that I mostly didn't do any good.

The first subject a while ago was CS 431 (Compiler Design) under Sir Gaucho. Out of all the questions which were approximately valued at 60 points, I was one of those unlucky who failed that first quiz.

**WE ATE FOR 30 MINUTES**

After the class, we went to our Rizal subject under Ma'am Distor. We also had our quiz. Fortunately, I got 96%. Rizal isn't that hard, is it? Haha.

Next stop was CS 434 (Software Engineering), Sir Jerry's class. We were the second batch to enter the computer laboratory. The quiz was about Microsoft Project. I was quite relaxed in answering the questions -- questions that weren't so hard. But hey, I'm not boasting! I didn't know actually what my grade was because he just scanned my work, but I guess I got a perfect score there for I was very confident enough with my answers.

Our final subject for this day was CS 431L. This subject is kind of tough actually. We were assigned one computer station each for 3 machine problems. Then a bunch of my other classmates arrived. One of them became my partner, so the two of us were in my station. Yipeee!!! That was what I thought prior to kick-starting the activity. But in the midst of programming, we were in crisis! Literally. The computer was divided among the two of us, because while she (my partner) was programming, I was writing the program for the other machine problem (I don't wanna go too much in detail 'coz my brains are gonna rip off!). Our professor checked our work. We only successfully finished one machine problem, which I programmed. That was rather frustrating.

A TOUGH, GLOOMY DAY OVERALL TO THE NTH POWER!

Almost There... But NOT Yet!

I was at Gracious' (my friend) dorm yesterday, and we ordered our lunch just inside the dorm canteen. I totally savored over the droolworthy tilapia which was splashed with thick and creamy tomato sauce and decorated with thin-sliced gingers and flower-shaped carrots. Sorry for the lengthy description 'coz I forgot the name of that food -- which is my favorite. I didn't remember what my friend was eating that time, but I believe she was chomping on some meaty meat loaf.

Enough with the food thingy. I was at her dorm to prepare for our thesis proposals which were to be checked. I made six! You heard that right, a couple of three-page proposals of six! Yet my friend only gave me her ideas, without even making just a single finished proposal. DAMN. But at least she still did her part nonetheless, yet for me that was actually insufficient and a total disappointment.

After we went off their dorm, we began to seek for professors who would probably approve our proposal because Ma'am Audrey, our adviser, wasn't around that time. We didn't find any one of them at the faculty. Good thing we had seen some of our classmates, and we chitchatted for a while. After that, we headed off to find Sir Tipay in one of the computer laboratories.

We waited for about 30 minutes before him finishing his class. Gracious approached him, handing him some of our thesis proposals. SOME. When he entered the faculty room, he immediately went out to tell us that VOILA! He approved our topic, which really brought us out in glee!
Oh, Glee, my beloved television musical.. Anyway, he just suggested that we should add a certain functionality in our proposal. We agreed. Then we both signed in the list of students with approved topics. Gracious almost screamed!

Exiting the university after the approval made Gracious and I rejoice. We treated ourselves by buying French fries and softdrinks at Yellow Hub in St. Joseph Street. We bid
adieu!

We're hoping for our imminent graduation on April 2011!

So there. Is this one my longest post yet? :)

Pokemon Movie 14: Best Wishes!?

According to Serebii.net (a popular Pokemon website), while Pokemon Movie 13: Phantom Champion Zoroark is still to be released in Japan, it says on the site that a sequel to this movie is Pokemon Movie 14: Best Wishes!. But ooops, I guess Serebii's got a false information regarding this. Well, almost. Here's why.

Filb.de, also a renowned Pokemon site, has just released another trailer of the 13th Movie, this time followed at the end by a small teaser/introduction of the upcoming Pokemon Series -- most likely Black & White -- which will be called,
Pokemon Best Wishes!. In the teaser, the legendary Pokemon Zekrom and Reshiram (plus silhouettes of a boy and a girl at the center) were introduced as well, thus confirming the 5th Generation. If you're curious about what the trailer looks like, here you go:

Serebii.net, on the other hand, admitted that they weren't really sure yet with the info they released. I hope they would update their site soon for clarification. Anyhow, Serebii will always be one of my best Pokemon sites ever. Filb.de is also good, only that I don't really know what language it's written..

So there. Hope you enjoyed the vid though Japanese.. 'Til next time!

(I ain't done with my thesis proposals yet!)

Fun, Fun, Fun... err, Sunday???

Still glued on my thesis research. I have a BIGGG hope that I will make it 'til Friday next week that I will not drop my Thesis A subject (Oh God, please help me!)!

It's Sunday. Should be fun, right? Go to church, spend time with your family... That's what you call fun. But today, for me, is the opposite. I'll probably consume my whole day browsing using Globe Tattoo's SUPERSURF 220 (infomercial?), and do some of my assignments, etc.

The melancholic thing is, most of us here in the house -- or them, shall I say -- are busy. And they might say that,
busy-busy-han ka na naman para hindi makatulong!, which I hate. Yes, I'm doing that now, doing Facebook and updating my blog simultaneously while Googling other unnecessary stuff.. But of course I'm doing them to relax myself a bit as I do the thesis research.

While I was searching Monsieur WWW, I stumbled upon sites which were about Anaglyphs (a good addition to my list of thesis proposals). If you don't know about them, use Google! I guess that doesn't hurt. If it does, perhaps you have this "indolent" nature! Kidding. So here are some examples of what anaglyphs are. USE 3-D GLASSES FOR THESE ONES! THEY'RE AWESOME! Actually I haven't tried looking at these pictures yet with glasses.

So much blogging. I think I'm getting addicted.

Have a good day, everyone. Au revoir!

Zekrom and Reshiram

I'm still working on my thesis proposal at this time. Which is, TADAA -- 8 minutes past eleven POST MERIDIEM!

By the way, to all Pokemon lovers out there around the world, what do you think about the newest legendaries, ZEKROM AND RESHIRAM of Pokemon Black & White? I think they're pretty cool. To date, they're my faves. Look Digimon-ish? Yeah, but still Ken Sugimori art.

Zekrom, an electric-type. Reshiram, a fire-type.

Actually, when I first saw them at Serebii.net, I thought Zekrom was at least part-Dark and that Reshiram was part-Light (I believed then that there would be a Light-type!). But then I was appalled when I discovered that Zekrom's Electric/Dragon and Reshiram's Fire/Dragon! Nintendo's visually fooled a lot of fans! So kudos, Nintendo!

Based on what I have seen all over the Web, it's Zekrom's hint of blue (the blue lines flowing on his body) that makes him an Electric-type (think of LED or electricity), plus the fact that he's got something like a sort of drill/rocket/generator-looking tail. Reshiram, on the other hand, is a Fire-type because of the fire-looking flow on its head. He's also got that torch-looking tail which indeed, substantiates his typing.

LOVE YOU ALL, POKEFANS!!!

First Blog for the First Time at the Wrong Time

HELLO BLOG WORLD! I'm Kevin. Yeah, new in the blogging world actually. Well, I really, really wanted to create my very own blog site for the sake of adding a pretty awesome credential in my resume (as what a good professor of mine told us). And it's done. Yet with no nifty designs that will surely attract gazillions of web addicts in the entire Web. But, of course, I'll work on that in the next few days so better watch out!

Who would have known? I did this blog for the first time YET at the wrong time! Confused?

Let me tell you this: I'm creating a bunch of thesis proposals for next week. Next week! Our thesis adviser told us that if they haven't approved a single proposal next week, we will be dropping the subject. Oooh, that gave me creeps!

Anyway, you may ask -- why create a blog? Actually, aside from the reason I stated above, I made this because:

(1) I love Pokemon. This site is also for Pokemon-lovers out there! So whatever your questions are about Pokemon, or whatever you wanna say about Pokemon, I'll be here to listen and answer.

(2) General Knowledge, etc. LOL, does this make me a pure geek? Not actually. I just want to impart my knowledge among all of you by sharing and I also do wanna make you share. I'm not that intelligent but sharing each others' knowledge is more than great.

(3) My Life. I don't have diaries, so I'll make this blog my online diary.

(4) Opinions. We have our own opinions, yes? So I'm sharing them out here.

(5) English Grammar Improvement. Some people say that I am good in constructing sentences/paragraphs in English. But I do know myself that I still have lots to know. This blog, I believe, will be my aid in improving my grammar. Perfect grammar in 2012? I hope so. But why 2012? LOL

THAT'S ALL, FOLKS. See you next time!
